It can lead to despair and hopelessness in dealing with life's challenges.
The person is creative and has different ideas on where they want to be in life however their ability to plan and organize how to achieve their goals is difficult. Reaching their goals is hindered by racing thoughts, sensory overload, or a fear of failure.
Working with a counselor, allows the person to share what is happening in their mind and to let go of thoughts that are not assisting their need in achieving their life and relationship goals.
I use strategies such as mindfulness, breathing exercises, and role-play to help maintain and achieve greater focus.
